2 and 8…one more loss this season would equal the total number of Urban Meyer’s losses in 7 whole years at Ohio State. This was probably not what he expected coming into the NFL, but as someone who has watched a lot of Jaguars football, including last year’s 1-15 season, I can’t be totally surprised anymore. Besides the win/loss column though, I had at least hoped to see a much improved, disciplined and competitive season from this team. Unfortunately, very little of that has materialized and that was especially evident in Week 11. A 30-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers exposed much of the what has plagued the Jaguars this season - undisciplined penalties, a lack of speed, injuries and very little help for rookie QB Trevor Lawrence. 7 whole years with only 9 losses at Ohio State…let’s hope we see some glimmer of hope and optimism in these last 7 games of this season.
